A picture is a copy of the oil painting by Rembrandt in 1637 "The parable of the workers in the vineyard". It is stored in the Hermitage in Leningrad. Plots for that Rembrandt picture was the Gospel parable of the workers' dissatisfaction with the fact that the owner of the vineyard paid equally to all workers for rough work.

Motives of refining the date see in a footnote to eponymous etching (№ 32).

In 1939 exposed at the Republican Shevchenko Jubilee Exhibition in Kyiv (Product, № 363).
