Farm Lykhvyn placed in Lebedin district in Kharkiv province, not in the Tula province, as erroneously stated in the literature [see "Kyiv antiquity", 1888, Vol. VI, p. 83]. There was an estate of D. A. Khrushchov (Shevchenko's friend), with whom Shevchenko was traveling from St. Petersburg. Now it is village Lyfyne in Lebedin district, Sumy region. Here Shevchenko visited Khrushchov, and executed some figures (see number 75, 76).

Figure included in the Shevchenko's album of 1858 – 1859 [see "Kyiv antiquity", 1888, Vol. VI, p. 83]

Dated on the basis of author's date in verse "Oh the mountain roman blooms", which Shevchenko written in Lykhvyn June 7, and inscriptions on etchings "Friends" and "Evening in Albano near Rome", presented to N. J. Khrushchova June 8, 1859 to commemorate the meeting in Lykhvyn (see notes to number 38, 42).
