Korsun in Kyiv region, now Korsun-Shevchenko, the regional center of Cherkassy region. According to Shevchenko's evidence and the materials of the investigation, he was first June 28 and last July 12, 1859. It is a basis for dating the picture [see "T. Shevchenko in the documents and materials", K., 1950, p. 226 – 227].
