Picture pasted on Bristol paper sheet, on the back of which, left bottom ink inscription: watercolor Kyrgyz // on horse.

Mentioned in the literature under the names: "Kyrgyz on horseback among sand desert" with wrong defined technique – sepia ["Images Shevchenko," no. II, SPb., 1914, Table XVII, № 2], "Kyrgyz on horseback" [A. Novitsky Taras Shevchenko as a painter, Lviv – Moscow, 1914, p. 70, № 489].
