Dated in accordance with the eponymous etching with the author's date. In the literature is found under the title: "Sleeping woman" ["Product of Shevchenko Exhibition in Moscow", Moscow, 1911, p. 11], "Sleeping half-naked woman" ["Catalogue of V. Tarnowski's museum of ukrainian antiquities", Vol. II, Chernigov, 1900, II, p. 190, № 394] and under the false name "Herself in her house " [A. Novitsky, Taras Shevchenko as a painter, Lviv – Moscow, 1914, p. 67, № 438]).
