There is an inscription by etching stroke at the bottom right of the print: A. Mescherski. 1860. Left below the image: Engraved Shevchenko. 1860.

Etching made after the eponymous picture by A. I. Meshchersky.

Dated on the basis of the established deadline works for the exhibition at the Academy of Arts in 1860.

Except described print in the Taras Shevchenko National Museum stored the test copy of etching in first state [inv. g – 669].

In 1860 one copy of this etching exposed at this exhibition at the Academy of Fine Arts [see A. A. Blagoveschensky, Shevchenko in St. Petersburg, "Historical Journal", 1896, v. 64, p. 799, "Pointer works of art exposed in the halls of the Imperial Academy of Arts", St. Petersburg, 1860, p. 27, № 31].

In literature entitled "Landscape" [V. G., Pictures and etchings Shevchenko, "Kyiv antiquity", 1888, Vol. VI, p. 84 – 85].
