Sepia "Samaritan" 1856, sketches a series of drawings "The Parable of the prodigal son", obviously, also were finished in autumn 1856, as Shevchenko wrote 8.XI to Br. Zaleski: "Pictures with the finest details ready (of course in the imagination)…". Back of the picture number 173.
