Taras Shevchenko (?). Self-portrait in a white cap.
[Orenburg]. [XI 1849 – IV 1850]. Oil on canvas (24.5 × 19.8 cm).

On the back of cardboard, to which a canvas glued, placed the inscription: By this certify that this Shevchenko's portrait painted by Taras Shevchenko himself. E. Murashko.

The time and place of this self-portrait making see note to previous portrait.

Also known copy 1856 of this self-portrait by the artist M.O., which was in the Tarnowski's museum in Chernigov and recorded in its directory under number 553. Location of the copy also unknown.
