On the album sheet, below picture pasted on it, ink inscription (possibly hand O. M. Butakova): Low shore of Nicholas island – (work Shevchenko).

Mentioned in the literature under the name "Plants ashore Aral Sea" ["Images Shevchenko," no. II, SPb., 1914, Table. XIV, № 1].

The nature of watercolor picture has much in common with the figure "Shore of Nicholas island". Sketch like reeds see number 107.

After this figure made the etching by O. M. Butakova [see Rovinsky D.A. Detailed dictionary of Russian engravers XVI – XIX cent., St. Petersburg, 1895, p. 90].
