Taras Shevchenko. Portrait of I.F. Paskevich. Engraving (13,7 × 12,3 cm) placed between pages 306 – 307 of the book "Russian generals" by N.A.Polevoj.

Paskevich Ivan F. (1782 – 1856) – Prince, the Russian military figure, General Field Marshal.

To create this portrait Shevchenko used the work of German artist Franz Kruger, which was in Field marchal room in the Winter Palace. Looking at portraits of I.F. Paskevich, engraved after the product by Kruger, D. Rovinsky provided a description of the portrait published in N.A.Polevoj's book, without mentioning names of artist and engraver [Rovinsky D.A. Detailed dictionary of Russian engraved portraits. – St. Petersburg, 1889. – T. 2. – Applications. – P. 246, 1261].
