Potoky – village in Kanev county, Kiev province. (now Myronivka district, Kyiv region).

Shevchenko repeatedly mentions Potoky in his letters and in the story "Walk with pleasure and not without morality".

Picture dated by the time of Shevchenko's staying in Potoky in August 1845.
