Right at the bottom – a pencil inscription: Drawed // Mikhail Sazhin.

For composition of work, lighting and especially for taking pictures of trees, unusual for Sazhin's handwriting, as well as images of individual parts – human figure, fence, thistles, which are found in many works of Shevchenko, picture can be defined only as one of Kyiv's landscapes, which Shevchenko drawed in the summer of 1846. It is impossible to determine exactly what parts of this figure performed Sazhin.
