Right at the top of the ink inscription: Number 162. IX.
Kyiv Mezhyhirsky Monastery situated on the right bank of the Dnieper River, about 20 miles north of Kyiv.
The date is set according to record on p. 21 in album of 1839 – 1843 years, which determines the time spent Shevchenko in the area.
In the literature found with wrong name "Church in Nizhny Novgorod" [«Product museum of Ukrainian Antiquities V. Tarnowski", vol. II, Chernigov, 1900, p. 191, № 406].
