Dated by the time of staying Shevchenko in Poltava and Kiev regions.

In the literature found under the names "House with barn" [A. P. Novitsky. Taras Shevchenko as a painter. – Lviv – Moscow, 1914, p. 55, № 207] and "Yard" [A. P. Novitsky. Shevchenko. – K., 1930, Table. XVII], in both sources incorrectly defined technique.

In 1939 exposed in Republican Shevchenko's anniversary exhibition in Kiev (catalog, № 161).
