Dated 1841 – 1842, by the time when artist working on paintings "Catherine", "Centurion's daughter", sketches based on the poem "Blind woman" and illustrations for the "History of Suvorov" by N.A.Polevoj, which on the back.

Registered by G.M. Chestahivsky in 1861 in description of the Shevchenko's drawings, which were in his academic workshops, at number 97 of pictures on the back of the sheet with the title "In the Harem" [Department of manuscripts and textology Institute of Literature. T.H. Shevchenko National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, fund 1, № 459].
